Q: Are your tutors familiar with the Ontario Curriculum?

A: TeachItRight Tutors are known for their advanced ability to teach academic concepts within the Ontario Curriculum to their students.
TeachItRight Tutors are well-versed in the different strands that students are currently evaluated on in the classroom (e.g., Reading, Writing, Number Sense, Financial Literacy etc.) TeachItRight Tutors have access to a number of different resources that are currently being used by many Ontario Teachers to supplement the Ontario Curriculum.

Q: Are your tutors familiar with the High School Math Curriculum?
A: TeachItRight Math Tutors have an advanced knowledge, skill and proficiency in Math and many of our Tutors are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree Program in Engineering, Computer Science, Science or Mathematics. They are kind, patient and understand the importance of breaking concepts down into small, manageable steps. TeachItRight Math Tutors work one-on-one with students to create an action plan that will gear them towards working independently on schoolwork while in class, as well as adequately preparing them for quizzes, tests and exams. Q: How do you assess student learning?
​
A: As soon as you are matched with a TeachItRight Tutor, you and your tutor will be provided with your child’s Individual Learning Plan. This document will include your child’s learning profile, academic and personal goals and main learning targets that your tutor will work on with your child throughout their sessions. During your first session, your tutor will conduct a baseline assessment to see where your child needs further support. By your second session, your child's Individual Learning Plan will formally be put into place. Your Tutor will use this Learning Plan as a guide to plan lessons and help your child reach academic and personal success.

Q: Do you offer tutoring services in French?
A: At TeachItRight, our French Tutors are fully bilingual and selected for their expertise and Fluency in French. We specialize in providing support to Core French and French Immersion students all across Ontario. Our goal is to help students achieve fluency and confidence in French, covering all essential aspects of the French language. You can read more about our French Programs here.

Q: What Special Education supports do you have available?
A: TeachItRight offers Special Education support for students in Kindergarten-Grade 12. TeachItRight Tutors have experience working with students with a range of learning diagnoses, including those who are on the Autism Spectrum, have been diagnosed with ADHD, Dyslexia, Speech Impediments and more. Whether you are in the process of getting a Psychoeducational Assessment completed or looking to start the process, TeachItRight is ready to work with you, your child's tutor and your child in order to guarantee they will get the extra support they need in order to be succesful at school.

Q: Do your tutors come prepared with their own lessons?
​
A: TeachItRight Tutors come prepared with their own learning materials, lessons and assessment pieces. Your tutor will observe, listen and ask questions as they monitor your child's progress every session. You will receive regular feedback and updates from your tutor every session. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way.

Q: How long does it take to get matched with a TeachItRight Tutor?

A: It usually takes 1 week for us to match your child with a TeachItRight Tutor. As soon as think you might need a tutor, let us know!​​​​​​
