Our High School Subjects
Math
Support for Grade 9 to 12 math courses, including foundations, problem-solving, functions, advanced functions, calculus or course-specific expectations.
English and Writing

Science
Help with science concepts, labs, homework, biology, chemistry, physics or course preparation depending on the student’s needs and tutor availability.

Ontario Certified Teachers and Subject Specialists for High School Students
Some high school students benefit from support from an Ontario Certified Teacher or experienced educator, especially when they need structured instruction, adapted explanations, support with learning gaps or help connected to an IEP.
Other students may be well served by a subject specialist, graduate or university student tutor, especially for course-specific support in advanced math, science, French or English.
TeachItRight’s role is to help families think through what kind of tutor may be the right fit based on the student’s course, learning needs, goals and tutor availability.
Study Skills, Exam Preparation and Academic Independence
High school tutoring is not only about understanding one lesson. Students may also need help learning how to study, manage deadlines, prepare for tests and take more ownership of their schoolwork.
